A well-rounded life for entrepreneurs

A while ago I introduced the Best People Attraction Model:

Attracting Clients Customers Leads Suppliers Vendors Partners Freelancers Virtual Assistants

Talking with my friend Liz about this model she came to the conclusion that something is missing in the model. Although you see balance in entrepreneurship and family in the centre of the model it is not ‘in’ the model.

The B2B Social Media Book by Bodnar and Cohen @KippBodnar @jeffreylcohen book review [video]

About once a month I receive a book (for free) via the Social Media Club to do a review for the Social Media Book Club. For May it is Bodnar and Cohen’s The B2B Social Media Book – Become a Marketing Superstar.

“This is the book I’ve been waiting for.”

says Ann Handley of MarketingProfs

To me it feels like the book I could have published. It covers the most important topics that companies, especially in B2B should think about when they want to attract leads with social media. The topics that I write and talk about too.

Are you missing important messages on Facebook?

When a friend on Facebook sends you a message you can clearly see it at the top left of every page. When other people, whom are not directly connect to you, sends you a message it ends up in a secret box.

While writing an article about Facebook lists I was testing my groups. Clicking through the updates of my groups in the favorites I clicked on ‘Messages’ and ‘Other’.

There I saw it, messages from the last 4-5 months that I had completely missed. People asking questions, one potential client, attendees of my webinars that asked me to join the group.

One of the reactions I got on this post was

“There is no information overload, only filter failure.”

move friends to the acquaitances list

Facebook is addressing this point and bringing the list of ‘Acquaintances’ to our attention.

How can an event teach the self-employed to grow

There are a number of things that drive me. I am deeply in love with my family and enjoy being with them. Working online, from home most of the time, helps me to do this.

Another important thing that drives me is, discovering ‘new’ things on the web and sharing it while adding my own thoughts to it. Here I have a focus on marketing and social media. More specifically, marketing and social media for independent professionals or the self-employed. For You.

On a day like this I just start answering these questions again.

What is my strategy?
